Outstanding Professor or Researcher (EB1 Visa)

The person must have at least three years of experience in teaching and/or research in the academic field. An offer of employment is required, but a labor certification is not. A petition for an outstanding professor or researcher must be accompanied by:

1. Evidence that the professor or researcher is recognized internationally as outstanding in the academic field. Such evidence shall consist of at least two of the following:

a. Receipt of major prizes or awards for outstanding achievement in the academic field of endeavor;

b. Membership in associations in the academic field which requires outstanding achievements of their members;

c. Published material in professional publications written by others about the person and his/her  work;

d. Original scientific or scholarly research contributions to the field;

e. Authorship of scholarly articles in professional journals with international circulation;

f. Participation on a panel, or individually, as a judge of the work of others in the same or in a field of specialization allied to that field for which classification is sought.
